about

Damsel in Distress is from a more recent style of writing that I've come to. It's a bit livelier but still having a similar theme to what I would have written in the past. This ones about not feeling like you're good enough for someone, but hoping they'll accept you for who or what you are.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Would you be my Mary Jane?
Would you be my Lois Lane?

I've been hanging round for days.
Waiting for someone new chase.
But I ain't got no Wall crawling blood.
Tell me am I not enough?

Chorus:
Would you be my Mary Jane? (Will you be my Mary Jane?)
Would you be my Lois Lane? (Would you be my Lois Lane?)
I've got no logo on my chest (No Logo, no Logo)
But would you be my damsel?
Be my Damsel in Distress?

Verse 2:
I've never been one for capes
And I never had a "Gwen" to save.
I can't run the world in seconds flat
No, I've never been good at that.

Chorus:
So will you be my Mary Jane? (Will you be my Mary Jane?)
Will you be my Lois Lane? (Will you be my Lois Lane?)
I've got no logo on my chest (No Logo, no Logo)
But will you be my damsel?
Be my Damsel in Distress?

Middle:
I know I can't save the world,
But maybe just one girl

I know I will never save the day
Not in my special way
I guess that's why I say....

Chorus:
Will you be my Mary Jane? (Will you be my Mary Jane?)
Will you be my Lois Lane? (Will you be my Lois Lane?)
I've got no logo on my chest (No Logo, no Logo)
But will you be my damsel?
Be my Damsel in Distress?

Would you be my Mary Jane? (Will you be my Mary Jane?)
Would you be my Lois Lane? (Will you be my Lois Lane?)
I've got no logo on my chest (No Logo, no Logo)
Would you be my damsel?
Be my Damsel in Distress?
